If you play Powerball and bought a ticket at Stewart's Shop make sure you check your tickets!
The Powerball lottery craze seems to be getting bigger and bigger as the jackpot continues to climb (Monday's 10/9 jackpot is $1.55 Billion)! Often times when a jackpot gets this high there are many players (me included) that chase the jackpot. Honestly, I don't normally play lottery games that I have to pick numbers, I'm more of an instant scratch-off kind of guy but when the jackpot is this high I feel like I have to play so I usually buy a few tickets.

The $50K winner is one of the biggest winners sold in Ulster County in a while and not only will whoever bought the ticket be happy but the folks at Stewart's will be as well. Any retailer that sells a winning lottery ticket in New York State gets approximately 6% of the winnings so Stewarts is also a winner!
Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday and anyone who matches all 5 numbers and the Powerball number wins the jackpot, which at the time of writing this article was the 3rd largest in history at $1.55 Billion!
