According to Walmart, the new plans are expected to upgrade and modernize more than 650 supercenters across the country, including 24 stores in New York.
The remodeling is part of a long-term strategy to refresh most of its stores and is expected to begin sometime this year. When it does, customers can expect some noticeable improvements.
What Can Walmart Customers Expect to Change?
The retail giant said it's planning to upgrade store layouts in an effort to modernize the space for better and more efficient (faster) shopping in-store and online.
They are also expected to upgrade their technology and services to offer better delivery options, including an option where some customers can receive orders in as little as an hour.
Remodeled stores will also offer new brand names to choose from, including De’Longhi, Oura, Jessica Simpson, and Lemme. They will also have interactive displays that are designed to help shoppers visualize the products in their homes before buying.
