For so many people across the Hudson Valley, the Hyde Park Drive-In wasn't just a place to watch a movie. It was where first dates happened, families piled into the station wagon for summer movie nights, teenagers worked their first jobs, and lifelong memories were made under the stars.

For me, one memory immediately came to mind. Like most drive-ins, they used to show two movies every night. One evening, they were playing Night at the Museum followed by The Hangover. We decided to take the kids to see the first movie and figured if they were still awake after it ended, we'd head home.

Like magic, they both fell asleep right before the first movie was over, so we decided to stay for The Hangover.

Wouldn't you know it? During the scene where Mike Tyson has a tiger in the bathroom, my daughter Julianna woke up, looked at the screen, and asked, "Why is there a tiger in the bathroom?"

Needless to say, that was our cue to leave...LOL!
