Is Chick-Fil-A Moving into Westage in Fishkill, New York?
There's a possibility that all these closures will indeed lead to a bigger and much-talked-about business landing in the Westage Business Center.
In the Town of Fishkill Planning Board Agenda for the meeting on November 14th, 2024, we've learned that a new submission has been made for a Site Development Plan.
According to the published agenda, an applicant is seeking approval for "the redevelopment of the former Boston Market located at 18 Westage Drive."
If approved the old Boston Market will be turned into a 5,400 square foot Chick-Fil-A restaurant. They go on to write:
the project will include demolition of the existing Boston Market and the redevelopment of a portion of the project site to construct a new 5,400 ± square foot Chick-fil-A restaurant with accessory drive-thru, significant related landscaping around the perimeter of the proposed restaurant, lighting and infrastructure on the northern corner of the project site fronting on Route 9 and West Merritt Boulevard.
About 2 months ago, photos were sent to us from an anonymous source with possible plans for the area near Route 9 in Fishkill where the Boston Market used to sit:
We'll wait for confirmation after the planning board meeting to see if these plans are accurate. The Town of Fishkill Planning Board meeting will discuss the possibility of the new Chick-Fil-A on Thursday, November 14th, 2024 from 7 PM to 11 PM at Fishkill Town Hall (807 Route 52 in Fishkill) in the Francois R. Cross Meeting Room.
The possible Fishkill, New York Chick-Fil-A location will be located directly across from Boutique Wine, Spirit and Ciders. Owner and operator Paige Flori tells us "We are thrilled to hear a new restaurant that will bring foot traffic and tourism to Fishkill is going into our plaza."
Flori adds:
Hopefully, that will renew interest in the space to support and encourage other small, locally owned businesses to join us, making Westage a premier destination for the area.
Will Dutchess County Have 2 Chick-Fil-A Locations Soon?
If these plans workout accordingly, Dutchess County may have 2 Chick-Fil-A locations.
In early October 2024, The Town of Poughkeepsie Planning Board published their agenda that month which included talks of a new Chick-Fil-A.
The new location could be opening in the old iHop location on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie on South Road. From no Chick-Fil-A locations in Dutchess County to 2 possibly in the works?
