Another Beacon business on Main Streets is closing their doors.

Beacon Cafe Announces Closure After 18 Years in Business

If you frequent Beacon, New York and walk down Main Street you know the little city is bustling with small local businesses.

You've got everything from antique shops, to hair salons and arcade bars. Of course there are a handful of coffee shops and cafes that have become staples in the neighborhood.

One of those cafes is, sadly, closing up shop. Beacon Falls Cafe took to social media to announce they are closing their doors after 18 years in business.

Why is Beacon Falls Cafe Closing?

According to the statement shared on social media, owners Bob & Linda Nevelus are ready to retire. 

In the statement the Nevelus' write "After 18 incredible years, we have decided to close The Beacon Falls Cafe and retire." The statement goes on to add:

The Cafe has been so much more than a business to us. It has been a huge part of our lives—a place where we worked, laughed, celebrated, built friendships, and created countless memories.

 

New Pizzeria Coming Beacon, New York

It looks like something new is coming to Beacon this year, right off of Main Street.

In early July 2026 a post came across my timeline on Instagram introducing a new pizzeria that was set to open.

There's no official open date that we can find, yet. But judging from all the teases it seems as if Astro's Corner will be opening before 2027. We'll make sure to keep you update, but keep an eye on their Instagram and Facebook pages for any new details.
