Aircraft Emergency at Rhinebeck Aerodrome

Reports of a 'mid-air incident' began circulating Sunday afternoon shortly after 3:30pm across several Hudson Valley based social media groups, and was later confirmed by the Red Hook Fire Company:

At approximately 3:35pm this afternoon the Red Hook Fire Company was dispatched to an aircraft emergency at the Rhinebeck Aerodrome. It appears that two of the planes participating in the show at the Aerodrome were involved in a mid air incident.

Thankfully, the planes only had their respective pilots on board at the time of the incident.

One of the planes involved landed safely at the Aerodrome, while the other crashed nearby. Red Hook Fire shared that both pilots were evaluated by medical personnel, neither transported to the hospital, and no spectators were involved or injured during the incident.
