A nearly six month investigation led to the arrest of a Hudson Valley woman on charges related to sex trafficking and prostitution.

The investigation was started by the mother of 15-year-old female. Police say 24-year-old Dawn M. Auche, of Newburgh provided the unnamed victim with drugs and money in exchanged for sex acts.

Auche was charged with sex trafficking, compelling prostitution, and promotion prostitution, all felonies.

Auche is currently in Orange County Jail in lieu of bail that was set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond for an unrelated charge of criminal sale of a controlled substance. Last week Auche and 10 others, in what officials called “Operation Spring Maintenance,” were charged for selling and possessing drugs in Orange County.

Auche is scheduled appear in court for her sex trafficking charges on July 15. She’s due in court on June 20 for her narcotics charges.
