Hudson Valley Teacher Charged With Forcibly Touching Students
A Dutchess County teacher has been arrested following complaints from two students that he allegedly touched them inappropriately.
State Police from the Dover Plains barracks arrested a Webutuck High School teacher and charged him with two counts of forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.
The teacher charged was Hyde Park resident Craig Trachtenberg.
The arrest stems from complaints filed by two students of Webutuck Central School with the state police in Dover.
Trachtenberg was arrainged in the Town of Northeast Court and remanded to dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail, or $5,000 bond.
The New York State Police are continuing their investigation in conjunction with the New York State Department of Education.
Additional charges are possible.
