Hudson Valley K9's Car Search Leads To 11 Count Drug Arrest

A Hudson Valley K9 helped find over 300 pills, heroin and more inside the car of an unlicensed local woman.

Last week, a Monroe police officer stopped a car on Stage Road for an alleged traffic violation. While interviewing the driver, 33-year-old Nicole Paisello of Monroe, the officer noticed drug paraphernalia inside the car, police say.

The officer then deployed the Monroe Police Department’s K9, Simba, to search the vehicle. Simba allegedly helped find over 300 various pills consisting of amphetamine, heroin, Clonazepam, Diazepam and Xanax and other drug paraphernalia including scales, straws and wax paper.

Paisello was charged with 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three-counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies, seven-counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, misdemeanors.

Paisello was remanded to Orange County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond. She is due back in Monroe Village Court on May 3.
