Monroe K-9 Receives Body Armor
According to a Facebook post, Simba a K9 out of the Village of Monroe Police Department has just received a bullet and stab resistant vest. The vest was donated from Vested Interest in K9's Inc and Armor Express.Vested Interested works out of East Tauton, Massachusetts and work under an incentive program where after 15 vests are purchased by the charity one is donated. Prices of the vest range from $1,795 to over $2,000. Vests have been donated to Police departments from Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, New York, North Dakota, South Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin have all received vests.
Vested Interested in K9's Inc is a 501c(3) organization that focuses on assisting law enforcement K9's by providing protective gear since their creation in 2009. Since it's opening 2,200 vests have been donated to K9's around the United State. Simba is one of the lucky pups to receive one this year.
