
Hudson Valley ‘Heartbroken’ After Beloved Restaurant Closes
Some Hudson Valley residents are "heartbroken" following the shocking news of a cafe closing for good.

Hudson Valley Post has learned The Tomato Cafe in Poughkeepsie closed for good on Saturday, August 21.
"We have unfortunately decided to close our Poughkeepsie location," owners wrote on Facebook. "We would like to thank our staff, our customers and the Arlington Community," the owners said in a Facebook post.

The Tomato Cafe in Fishkill remains open. Hudson Valley residents were shocked the cafe which also served as a pizza place, bar and Italian restaurant closed down with no warning. Many commented on Facebook saying they were sad to learn about the closing.
A reason for the closure wasn't given, but owners hinted "a familiar face" may open up at the Poughkeepsie location.
"While we do say goodbye to our Poughkeepsie location, we wish the new eatery (possibly a familiar face) the best of luck," the owners added.
