The countdown clock is ticking for Verizon and Disney to negotiate a deal to keep the entertainment giant's networks on Verizon Fios TV. The two conglomerates have until Monday at 5PM to reach an agreement for a host of Disney channels--including ESPN--to remain on Fios before the previous contract expires.

Verizon sent an email to Fios customers alerting them to the potential service interruption as 2018 comes to a close.

"Disney is currently proposing that Verizon pay hundreds of millions of dollars more for its programming, despite the fact that many of its key networks are experiencing declining viewership," the Verizon email stated.

In addition to ESPN and Disney channels, Hudson Valley Fios subscribers also risk losing WABC in New York.

Verizon said Disney wants its regional sports programming, ACC Network, included in the new agreement. For its part, Disney has been targeting Fios customers with ads declaring "Don't Lose Your Shows," according to Variety.com.

"Our negotiations continue in earnest and we remain optimistic that we can reach a deal," Disney said in a statement to Variety.
