Homeless Newburgh Man Dies From Injuries Sustained in Assault
A homeless man known in the City of Newburgh died as a result of injuries sustained in an alleged assault, and police are now investigating the incident as a homicide.
Christian Breslin, 40, was found bleeding from the face on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at the Hasbrouck Street Park on Hasbrouck Street, police reported. Officers who arrived on scene said Breslin appeared to have been assaulted and had him transported to a nearby hospital, and eventually transferred to Westchester Medical.
Breslin succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, Feb. 25, police said.
Breslin was last seen exiting United Fried Chicken at 64 William Street, police said. Authorities are seeking information, and anyone with tips can call the City of Newburgh Police Department at 845-561-3131.
