A flight attendant is remembering the victims of the September 11th attacks by pushing his beverage cart from Boston, through the Hudson Valley, to Ground Zero.

Remembering the Hudson Valley Lives Lost on September 11th

A former flight attendant is commemorating the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks by pushing his beverage cart from Boston to Ground Zero.

In late August, Paul Veneto, a retired United Airlines flight attendant started on pushing a beverage cart from Logan Airport Boston to Ground Zero New York for the 20th anniversary of 9-11.

"I am doing this because I want these crew members’ families to know how courageous they were that day. I want the public to understand that under those conditions that morning, what those crew members did, nobody could have trained for. They really need to be recognized as Heroes. They were the very first First Responders," Vento writes on his website.

Veneto is pushing the plane beverage cart over 200 miles to honor the lives lost on September 11.

United Airlines Flight 175 was crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. Veneto says Flight 175 was his regular route but he was off September 11th.

Veneto says he knew many of the crew members who died on the September 11th flight.

"That day sent me into a tailspin of opiate addiction that almost cost me my life. After almost 15 years of numbing myself out from the thoughts of that day, I have finally been freed from addiction since 2015. I can now finally give tribute to my fallen crew members," Vento stated.

This week, Veneto pushed his beverage cart into the Hudson Valley.

"Paulie's Push" honors the crew members who were on board the deadly flights 20 years ago.

His journey started on August 21 at Logan International Airport.

"Paulie's Push" is expected to end on Saturday, Sept 11, at Ground Zero on the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
