Dryer Fire Damages House

The Fairview Fire Department was summoned to a house at 43 Lake Street in Poughkeepsie this morning for a smoke condition in the residence.  Upon arrival firefighters discovered an active fire and summoned the Poughkeepsie Fire Department to the scene as a precaution.

According to Fairview Chief Chris Maeder a fire in a clothes dryer caused minor structural and smoke damage to the house.  No injuries were reported.
