Lucky Puppy Rescue in Upstate, NY Teams Up with Barstool

In June 2025, an Upstate New York dog rescue teamed up with a pretty big company.

Lucky Puppy Rescue, located in Argyle, New York (right outside of Saratoga Springs) teamed up with Dave Portnoy and his company Barstool Sports.

The sports entertainment company was able to help fun a state-of-art transportation bus to pick up rescued dogs from Florida and bring them back to New York to find their forever families.

Portnoy was able to help fund the bus thanks to donations made through their hard lemonade brand Lucky Ones.

Luck Ones was inspired by Portnoy's rescue dog Miss Peaches who he adopted back in February 2023 and won over the hearts of the internet.

Then shortly after, Portnoy rescued Pete the Beagle and it's been a dog love story ever since.

Dave Portnoy Stops by Lucky Puppy Rescue in Argyle, New York

Portnoy is in Saratoga Springs for the last Belmont Stakes race in Saratoga happening June 6th, 2026.

So he made some time to visit Lucky Puppy Rescue, with none of than Miss Peaches and Pete the Beagle! In a post on Facebook Lucky Puppy Rescue writes that it was quite the busy day with Portnoy stopping by.

They share details about the transport bus sharing:

Our new bus has completed 7 round trip transports since its maiden voyage on Jan 1. We’ve adopted out close to 300 dogs from
this bus. It’s an absolute blessing

The trifecta (Dave Portnoy and his pups Miss Peaches and Pete) were spotted all around Saratoga.

In an Instagram post Cornerstone welcomed Dave and his pups and shared just how much they appreciate all they do for the animal world writing:

These two and their Dad have become incredible advocates for rescue pets, helping shine a spotlight on the importance of adoption and giving animals a second chance.
