Child Dies While Attending School in Hudson Valley

A child died following a freak accident at a Hudson Valley school.

On Tuesday around 3 p.m., a school closet fell on a 7-year-old girl attending summer school at the Bais Rochel School on Israel Zupnik Drive in Kiryas Joel.

She was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital but despite life-saving efforts, the girl was pronounced dead, the Yeshiva World reports. Her name wasn't released.

New York State Police are investigating.
