1 Person Killed, 2 Injured in Orange County Car Crash
A car accident in Orange County early Saturday killed one person and injured two others. The car involved in the one-vehicle accident landed upside down in the woods along the roadway.
On Saturday just before 4 a.m., Cornwall police found an overturned 2004 Volkswagen in a wooded area off of Pleasant Hill Road in the town of Cornwall.
A passenger, 37-year-old Mihaly Kvacska of Cornwall, was thrown from the car during the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police say.
The driver had to be extricated from his car by the Cornwall Fire Department and flown to Westchester Medical Center. A second passenger was taken to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. Their names and their medical condition status were not released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
