Undercover Operation Leads to Arrests of 7 Accused Orange County Drug Dealers
An undercover operation in Orange County led to seven arrests for allegedly selling heroin, crack cocaine, cocaine and more in the Hudson Valley.
The undercover investigation in the City of Port Jervis was conducted by the joint efforts of the Port Jervis City Police Department with the assistance of the Town of Deerpark Police Department, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office into complaints of drug deals involving cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin and hallucinogenic drugs in in the City of Port Jervis and the Town of Deerpark.
The investigation resulted in seven arrests and the seizure of heroin, cocaine, assorted psychedelic narcotics, oxycodone, US Currency and drug paraphernalia, police say
The following people were arrested and charged:
- Joseph Jacke, 31, of Port Jervis: criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance, felonies. Jacke is accused of selling morphine pills in the City of Port Jervis.
- Joshua Robinson,28, of Port Jervis: criminal sale of a controlled substance, two-counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal possession of a weapon, felonies, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Robinson is accused of selling crack cocaine and was allegedly found in possession of crack cocaine and MDMA at time of his arrest.
- DaShell Powlus, 20, of Port Jervis: second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, four-counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies. Powlus is accused of selling the hallucinogenic drug Psilocybin.
- Austin Finch,20, of Port Jervis: two-counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, two-counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, felonies, criminally using drug paraphernalia and imitation sale of a controlled substance, misdemeanors.
- Justin Paduani, 24, of Port Jervis: two-counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Paduani is accused of selling crack cocaine.
- Trevone Waxter, 32, of Oneonta: criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, both felonies. Waxter is accused of selling cocaine.
- Anthony Torres, 36, of Port Jervis: was charged with two-counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, four-counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally using drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors, as well as a violation for marijuana possession.
