Underage Drinking Sting Led to Three Arrests

On Wednesday New York State Police conducted an underage drinking operation. Under the supervision of police a subject under the age of 21 attempted to by at 26 stores.

Police arrested three subjects after they allegedly sold an alcoholic beverage to an underage subject.  They were charged with the misdemeanor unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree and a violation of the alcohol beverage control act.

The following three individuals were all charged and are due in Town of Cairo Court on Jan. 5.

1.  Teena L. Downey, employed at the Spirit of Cairo, Main Street, Cairo.
2.  Tina M. Manwaring, employed at the Cumberland Farms, Main Street, Cairo.
3.  Minha Juddin Mohammed, employed at the Getty, Main Street, Cairo.

Employees at 23 other stores that sold alcohol were also tested. The following establishments all didn't not allow an underage individual to purchase an alcoholic beverage.

Kaaterskill Liquors, SR-23A, Tannersville
