On Mother's Day night, the Poughkeepsie fire department responded to a report of a car on fire in the garage of Bobby's Towing on Smith Street.

Arriving firefighters confirmed the blaze and requested assistance from the Arlington and Fairview fire departments.

Firefighters gained entry aggressively attacked the fire, which was determined to be two separate cars on fire. The blazes were knocked down within an hour.

According to Poughkeepsie FD Chief Mark Johnson, the investigation into the cause of the fire is being turned over to the Poughkeepsie Police Department
