Police: Trio Left 28-Year-Old’s Body in a Ditch

Three City of Newburgh residents left a 28-year-old woman's dead body in a ditch in Plattekill, New York State Police said.

Angel Delgado, 44, Kristen A. Green, 41, and Lauren A. Romano, 33, were arrested Saturday on a felony charge of concealment of a human corpse and a misdemeanor charge of conspiracy.

New York State Police at Highland responded to New Unionville Road in Plattekill after a report of an unidentified woman found dead in a ditch on Friday at 7AM. A subsequent investigation revealed the woman was 28-year-old Alexis Scanlon and she had died on Thursday at the residence of Angel Delgado Jr, authorities said.

Delgado, Green and Romano were processed at New York State Police headquarters in Highland and arraigned in Town of Plattekill Court. All three were remanded to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
