A Hudson Valley teen is accused of stealing from four people who were trying to buy weed off him and calling 911 to say the group was trying to kill him.

On Monday around 5:30 p.m., Saugerties police responded to a 911 call at 9A Hideaway Lane in the Town of Saugerties. The caller said he was being chased by four people who were threatening to kill him. The man gave a description of the people who were chasing him and their car.Police found the car and interviewed the alleged suspects. After interviewing the caller, a 17-year-old from Saugerties, officers discovered he was in possession of a quantity of weed, packaging materials and scales for weighing marijuana, police say.

Officers allege that the 17-year-old ripped off the others during a drug deal. The Saugerties teen was going to sell 10 grams of marijuana for $100, however he ran off with the money and weed, police say.

The 17-year-old made it back to his home and called 911. He was charged with attempted criminal sale of marijuana, petit larceny, misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

He was released on an appearance ticket.
