A man out on parole and a wanted teen are accused of selling drugs outside a Hudson Valley day-care.

On Thursday, City of Newburgh police detectives responded to a number of complaints of drug deals and drug use in front of a New York State certified day-care center on City Terrace.

Investigators soon noticed two men near the day-care center. One man, 19-year-old Sean Mitchell, was wanted on a bench warrant for armed robbery and robbery, police say. When authorities approached Mitchell he allegedly fled on foot.

More officers arrived on scene and after a struggle, Mitchell was taken into custody. During his ride to the police station, he's accused of damaging the rear door of a police vehicle.

Mitchell was found with 3.8 grams of crack cocaine, police say and police discovered he was wanted on two more bench warrants in Orange County.

Mitchell continued to be aggressive towards officers at the police station and at one point began urinating on the floor of the booking area, then into a cup and threatened to throw the cup of urine at officers, according to City of Newburgh police.

Mitchell was charged with assault, criminal mischief, obstruction government administration, resisting arrest, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and four bench warrants.

The second man who was outside the day-care center, 26-year-old Clive Powell, was allegedly seen on video making a number of drug deals outside the day-care.

When police searched Powell, who's currently on parole for drug possession, authorities found a half-ounce of crack cocaine and four glassine envelopes of heroin, officials say. He was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and loitering.

A few officers suffered minor injuries. They were treated at St. Lukes Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh.
