Orange County Man Assaults Victim In Front Of Children at Local Motel
An Orange County man is accused of assaulting a victim who had an order of protection against him, in front of two children at a local motel.
On Monday, New York State Police from Ellenville responded to the Continental Motel in the Town of Wawarsing for a report of domestic fight.
Arriving officers found the victim who was allegedly assaulted by 33-year-old Bryan Brown of New Windsor. The assault happened in front of two young children, police say.
As police investigated, they learned that the victim had a valid order of protection against Brown.
Brown was found and arrested for first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, and misdemeanors for assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Brown was arraigned in the Town of Rochester Court and released Brown on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Wawarsing Court on March 3.
