New York Doctor Killed in Head-On Hit-And-Run Hudson Valley Crash
Police are asking for help after a Hudson Valley doctor was killed in a head-on hit-and-run crash in the Hudson Valley.

"It is with great sadness that we share with you the untimely passing of our colleague, physician and friend, Dr. John Hordines, General Surgeon. Dr. Hordines was a respected member of the Crystal Run family and Montefiore St Luke’s Hospital medical staff, and served our community for many years. Our prayers are with his family at this most difficult time. He will be sorely missed," Crystal Run Healthcare wrote on Facebook.
Police are asking for help as they continue to investigate.
"This is an ongoing investigation," New York State Police stated.

While no place in the Hudson Valley made the list, the region has received a ton of praise recently.

New York State Police are investigating a fatal hit and run that occurred on Sunday around 12:20 p.m. on State Route 32 in the town of Cornwall.
Investigation revealed that a 2013 Honda Accord was traveling north and crossed over in the Southbound lane and struck a 2010 Chevy Tahoe head-on.
The operator of the Tahoe, 54-year-old Dr. John C. Hordines Jr of New Windsor was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Hordines worked at Crystal Run Healthcare.
His prior experience includes St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, according to his bio.
Police did not release any information about the driver of the Honda. Authorities only stated the car fled the scene, adding their investigation is ongoing.
"This is an ongoing investigation," New York State Police stated.
