Latest Winter Storm Could Bring 6-8 Inches of Snow
This blog will be updated with new information as it becomes available.
If you enjoyed the single digit lows this week, the polar vortex has something extra special for you: piles and piles of snow.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory starting Saturday at 1AM and ending at 1PM for the Mid-Hudson Valley.
The advisory warns of significant snow accumulation before turning into a mix of rain and possibly sleet later in the afternoon. The precipitation could make for hazardous travel on local roads with temperatures ranging from the teens to only near freezing later tomorrow.
Ulster, Northern Sullivan and Northern Dutchess counties will receive the brunt of the storm, with up to 8 inches possible. Dutchess, Orange and Putnam counties will likely see 4 to 6 inches.
