Hopefully, you have adjusted to our weird weather this winter a few snow storms that were hit or miss depending on where you live. Rain and the constant cold temps haven't been fun. And what was with the two weeks of nothing but gray days at the end of January?

I don't know about you but I am ready for Spring. Mr. Groundhog said it would be early this year. Hopefully, that prediction will come true because I am ready to spend my weekends back out and about. It may not be golf season just quite yet but it is a great time to start thinking about getting back out for some warmer weather activities.

Hudson Valley Farm Markets Open Before Spring

Winter can be the reason you haven't been to your favorite farm market in a while. You should check in. I am fortunate enough that a few of the farm markets I like to shop at are open over the winter months.

Recently, I was able to stop in and get some of my favorite jam at Wright's Farm Market on 208 in Gardiner, New York. They also always have great pies you can grab for a quick dessert for company. So much better than store-bought.

The newest place in New Paltz to get farm goodies is Mercier Farm Market on Route 32 in New Paltz. I have discovered they carry my favorite Smokin' Al's BBQ sauce plus they have a brand of rice grown in the Hudson Valley that has become my go-to rice brand. They also have a killer bakery.

Wallkill View Farm Market in New Paltz Opens for the Season in March

When Wallkill View Farm Market re-opens after a winter break I am headed there for my favorite pickles. I am down to my last jar. Once Wallkill opens all my farm stops will be up and running again. And Winter will be officially over in my book even if we get an April snowstorm or a late frost.
