New Paltz Bicycle Accident: Police Looking For Answers
So it appears that there may have been another hit-and-run in New Paltz. This time it involves a bicyclist. New Paltz police are currently investigating an incident that took February 9th around 5:55 PM.
Back on January 23rd, the body of Raymond Rattray was discovered about 20 feet off the road on Route 208 in the Town of New Paltz. In that case, it was determined that Raymond had been struck by a car the evening before and the car fled the scene of the accident.
New Paltz Police Investigate a Bike Accident on Church Street
What took place this past Friday seems to be a bit different but the Town of New Paltz Police Department is looking for the public's help to fill in some missing information. The incident on February 9th took place on Church Street in the Village of New Paltz.

According to the press release from the Town of New Paltz Police an adult, man was riding an E-Bike on Church Street in the northbound direction when something caused him to fall. The incident left the man with a broken leg and a head injury. He is currently being treated at a local hospital.
New Paltz Police Looking for Witnesses to Bike Accident
Police are hoping that the public can fill in some of the information about the accident that happened in the Orchard Heights area. It is not clear if the man was hit by a car or if another factor led to his accident so the police are hoping someone saw something that might help the investigation.
