A jewelry store burglary spree hits three businesses across the area.

It all started last week when police received a call at approximately 4:30 a.m. Thursday that stated that a jewelry store robbery was in progress at Sky Diamond Jewelers on Main Street in Beacon, New York.

Beacon Jewelry Store Robbed

As officers responded to the jewelry store located at 226 Main St Ste. 102, Beacon, NY they witnessed what they believed to be the suspects driving away from the scene of the alleged robbery according to the Daily Voice. As the suspects drove away police began to chase their vehicle at a high rate of speed onto 84 and the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge but quickly called off the chase due to the unsafe speeds according to the City of Beacon Police Department.

As police began their investigation back at the popular jewelry store it was determined that the suspects allegedly broke in by breaking the front door glass. Police didn't say what the suspects took from the store but did say that the Beacon robbery could be connected to two other robberies as that same morning burglaries were also reported at Jaymark Jewelers at 3612 US-9, Cold Spring, NY, and at Jewelry Designs at 86 Mill Plain Rd, Danbury, Connecticut.

Two Suspects Arrested

Later that day the two suspects who are allegedly responsible for the robberies were arrested in Newark, New Jersey according to police. Police didn't provide the suspect's identities at this time but did say that arresting officers did recover several pieces of stolen jewelry and that the investigation is ongoing.
