A new food option will soon be available in Beacon, NY and many are excited to try something new.

Most of us are well aware that Beacon has become one of the more diverse places in Dutchess County as it has become a melting pot for many races and nationalities. When areas have diversity that Beacon now enjoys many positive things come along with it, with one of the best being the change in food options. Yes for me, food is everything and it appears that Beacon is getting ready to welcome a brand new restaurant that will offer a food option you might not be familiar with.

Afghan Food Lands in Beacon, New York

According to a post in the Beacon community group on Facebook a new restaurant is set to open soon on Eliza Street in the heart of Beacon. The new restaurant "Nansense" will be located at 2 Eliza Street in Beacon across from the School of Rock and offer customers Afghani foods. The sign (above) outside of the restaurant states that when they open in the spring of 2024 they plan to offer Halal and Afghan burgers.

We did reach out to Nansense on Instagram to see if we could get more information about the restaurant and what they plan to offer on their menu when they open but haven't heard back yet. Keep your fingers crossed that they will offer some of the foods they have featured on their Instagram page including, A Halal smash burger, Mantu, Chicken Korma Platters, Chapli Kabab Burger (on Afghan bread), Bolani, Masala Fries, and much more.

Apparently, the folks at Nansense have been doing the food thing for a while now and did have a location in New York City and can often be found selling their amazing foods from their food truck that has been seen all across New York, so they know what they are doing...LOL!

Beacon Loves New Foods

Foodies in Beacon are excited to welcome something new to Beacon and shared on Facebook how excited they were with one person saying "One of the best meals I've ever had was at an Afghan restaurant in Madison WI. Can't wait to try this one. Thank goodness there is something different from pizza, Italian, mediocre Chinese, and delis." Count us in we can't wait to try them as well! As soon as an opening day is announced we will update this article.
