A Hudson Valley mother is in trouble with the law because officials say she left her toddler home alone to go drinking.

Officials say Eveline Raini’s husband arrived at his New Rochelle home to find their son home alone and his wife missing. Police soon found Raini at a bar near the home.

The Eagle reports, authorities believe Raini left her 3-year-old son unattended for up to 12 hours.

In New Rochelle Court Raini plead not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of child endangerment. A judge set bail at $7,500 bound or $5,000 cash.

If convicted Raini faces one year in jail to three years probation.
