Hudson Valley Man Sings National Anthem at Yankee Stadium
If you missed the start of Tuesday’s wildcard game at Yankee Stadium, you missed a Hudson Valley man live a dream.
On Tuesday, Aaron Tveit sang the national anthem before the Yankees and Twins wildcard game. The Middletown graduate’s impressive performance was broadcasted nationally on ESPN.
Prior to singing, Tveit welcomed the crowd to join him in singing the national anthem.
After his inspiring performance, the crowd began chanting "USA," followed by "Lets go Yankees!"
Tveit graduated from Middletown in 2001. At Middletown High School he played multiple sports and was cast in all four of the school’s plays.
After graduation, Tveit attended Ithaca College. He left after two years when he landed a gig for a national tour of Rent.
Other prominent roles include Danny Zuko on Fox’s “Grease:Live!” Mike Warren on the TV series “Graceland” and the lead role of Frank Abagnale Jr. in the Broadway production of "Catch Me If You Can.”
