Have You Seen This Wanted Hudson Valley Man?
A Hudson Valley man who’s accused of breaking another man’s jaw and stealing over $1,000 from the victim is on the run. Police are hoping for help in finding him.
The Saugerties Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for 20-year-old Malikye S. Stokes of Kingston. Stokes is wanted for assault and robbery, both felonies.
On Thursday, Stokes punched and kicked a 20-year-old man, breaking the victim’s jaw, police say. Stokes is then accused of forcibly stealing over $1,000 in cash from the beaten man.
The unnamed victim was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
Saugerties police is seeking assistance from the public in finding Stokes, so he can be taken into custody. Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Stokes, should contact the Saugerties Police Department at 845-246-9800.
Update: On Thursday around 2:30 p.m., Stokes was located at the Sky Top Motel in the Town of Saugerties and arrested without incident, police say.
