Elderly New York Man Killed in Crash With Truck In Hudson Valley
An elderly Hudson Valley man lost his life after a three-vehicle crash at a well-traveled intersection.

On Monday around 5 p.m., the Orangetown Police Department investigated a three-vehicle crash in Rockland County.
The crash happened at the intersection of Route 303 and E. Erie Street in Blauvelt.
At the time of the crash, a 2019 Subaru Foster was heading west on E. Erie Street and a 2005 Mack commercial box truck driven by a 29-year-old man from Middletown was traveling north on Route 303.
The Subaru and box truck collided at the intersection which caused the Subaru, driven by 83-year-old Seymour Whynman of Blauvelt, to crash into a 2020 Ford Transit van in the southbound left-turn lane of Route 303.
Whynman and a female passenger were taken to Nyack Hospital by South Orangetown Ambulance Corps. Whynman was pronounced dead at the hospital just before 6 p.m.
Police did not release details about the woman's injuries. The 29-year-old from Middletown was not taken to the hospital.
As of this writing, no charges have been filed as police look for witnesses.
"The Orangetown Police Department Accident Investigation Team is conducting further investigation," the Orangetown Police Department said in a press release. "Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who may have additional information is asked to contact Orangetown Police at 845-359-3700."
