Elderly Hudson Valley Man Killed in Route 9 Crash
An elderly Hudson Valley man lost his life after a crash on Route 9.
On Thursday, New York State Police investigated a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on State Route 9 in the Town of Kinderhook, in the area of Golden Harvest Farms.
An initial police investigation revealed that 86-year-old Preston H. Schrader of Claverack made a left-hand turn onto State Route 9 from a parking lot exit and struck a northbound vehicle, authorities say.
Schrader was transported to Albany Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
