Foster Homes Needed for Belgian Malinois' Seized from Greene County Home
The Columbia-Greene Humane Society and SPCA are hoping they can find homes for the 18 Belgian Malinois that were taken in from the home.
They write that they "will soon begin searching for appropriate foster homes for the seized Belgian Malinois dogs." If you're interested in fostering contact Jessica Farkas (CGHS/SPCA Vice President/Investigator) at (518) 828-6044 ext. 100 or jessica@cghs.org.
Belgian Malinois are very specific breed. The American Belgian Malinois Rescue writes on their website" If you have not owned a Belgian Malinois before please make sure this is the breed for you by doing your research."
Adding:
This is not a breed for everyone so be realistic in assessing your ability to provide for a malinois.
One comment under the original post from the Columbia-Greene Humane Society explains they were from MAD rescue (Malinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue) and reiterated the above statement writing "Malinois are NOT for everyone and need breed experienced people."
