Nine eateries in the Hudson Valley can boast they serve one of the best burgers in New York.

Memorial Day weekend marked the unofficial start of summer in the Hudson Valley. A stable in the summer grilling burgers! Now, if you don't wanna cook your own burger, where can you find the best burger in the Hudson Valley? Well, NYUP ranked the 31 best burger restaurants in Upstate New York. Many Hudson Valley eateries made the list.

The website considers anything above Rockland County as "Upstate New York." To craft the list, NYUP used Yelp.

"All the businesses on this list are in the "burger" category on Yelp. "Best" is measured using an algorithm that looks at the number of reviews, star rating for a business, length of time a business has been opened, among other things," Ben Axelson wrote. " Number of negative (1- and 2- star) reviews are also a significant factor, and may give a restaurant with fewer total reviews a higher ranking than a restaurant with the same star rating and a higher number of reviews."
