2 Dutchess Teens Found With Heroin, Police Say
A pair of teens from Dutchess County are facing felony charges after they were allegedly found with heroin.
On Friday, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) in conjunction with the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department’s Neighborhood Recovery Unit (NRU) conducted a drug investigation in the area of Route 9 in the Village of Wappingers Falls.
During a traffic stop, two Duthcess County teens were arrested and 46 grams for heroin were seized, police say.
Jashaun T. Trotman, 18, of Poughkeepsie and 19-year-old Elijah Paulin of Beacon were both charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.
Both were remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
