1 Killed, 1 Hurt in Hudson Valley, New York ‘House Explosion’
An investigation is underway after one person was killed and one person was injured in a house explosion in the Hudson Valley.

On Wednesday around 7:30 p.m., New York State Police were dispatched to a house explosion on Hoffman Street in the town of Pine Plains.
Pine Plains Police Department and multiple local fire departments arrived on scene to render aid. The Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division, and the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control also responded to assist with the investigation.
Lawrence Pariseau, 61, was unfortunately located deceased within the remaining structure, police say
Kim Dunn, 62, was pulled from the wreckage by a neighbor and a responding fireman. Dunn was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to New York State Police.
The cause of the house explosion remains under investigation.
"This investigation remains ongoing," New York State Police stated.
