Wrong Way Drunk Driver Wrecks in Saugerties, Police Say

A woman was arrested in Saugerties on Sunday for allegedly driving drunk the wrong way down a one-way street, resulting in an accident at the intersection of Main and Jane Streets in the village.

Kaylee M. Donahue, 24, of Delanco, N.J. has been charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and driving the wrong way after Saugerties Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection at 12:03 AM on Sunday. During the interview, police took Donahue into custody on suspicion of drunk driving. 

At the police station, Donahue submitted to a breathalyzer which indicated a BAC of .17%. Donahue was cited for DWI and driving the wrong way, issued tickets, and released to a third party.

The accused is due in court on September 17, 2018.
