Wrong-Way Accident in Hudson Valley Shuts Down New York’s I-84
A truck and tractor-trailer were involved in a wrong-way head-on collision on I-84 in the Hudson Valley.

Police are continuing to investigate a serious accident on I-84 in Orange County. The accident happened in Maybrook at the I-84 exit 28 East off-ramp on Friday just after 11 p.m.

A pickup truck crashed head-on into the cab of a tractor-trailer in what appears to be a wrong-way crash.
Police have not released a full report but it appears the pickup truck was traveling the wrong way onto the highway when crashed into the front of the tractor-trailer that was exiting the highway.

The accident happened on the eastbound exit ramp off Interstate 84 to Route 208 in Maybrook. New York State Police and firefighters on scene confirmed to Rockland Video multiple people were trapped and had to be extricated from the vehicles.

At least two people were seriously hurt. There are unconfirmed reports at least one person was killed. A medevac was canceled at the scene, according to Orange County NY Fire Calls.

Both the exit and entrance ramps to Interstate 84 were shut down for much of the overnight hours.
