
Two Women Accused Of Attempting To Cash Forged Checks In Dutchess County
Two women are accused of attempting or cashing forged checks in Dutchess County.
In two separate arrests, New York State Police from Wappinger arrested both 19-year-old Denisse Gimenez New York City and 26-year-old Amanda S. Schaffrodt of the Bronx for criminal possession of a forged instrument, a Class D Felony. Schaffrodt additionally received a felony charge for identity theft.
On Friday, Gimenez allegedly tried to cash a forged check at a Town of Wappinger bank.
Schaffrodt is accused of cashing multiple forged checks at bank branches in the Towns of Wappinger and East Fishkill.
Both were was arraigned at the Town of LaGrange Court and released on their own recognizance. Both are due in Town of Wappinger Court on Wednesday.
