Troopers Honored By Dutchess Police Chiefs
The Dutchess County Association of Police Chiefs have installed two members of the New York State Police to lead their organization.
Dutchess County Acting Supreme Court Justice Peter M. Forman administered oaths of office to New York State Police Captain Michael A. Jankowiak, Troop K Zone 1 Commander and Lieutenant Scott M. Hurley of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation to the positions of President and Secretary, respectively.
The Dutchess County Association of Police Chiefs is an association comprised of the most experienced and respected law enforcement officials in the county. The organization's purpose is to promote inter-agency cooperation and specialized training for police departments across Dutchess County and the Hudson Valley.
Captain Jankowiak has served as the New York State Police Zone 1 Commander at Livingston since 2013. The zone encompasses northern Dutchess County and Columbia County. Lieutenant Hurley, a Trooper since 2000 achieved his rank in 2015 and is assigned to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Troop K.
