Teenage Parents Arrested For Allegedly Smoking Weed Near Infant Child
A local teenage couple is accused of smoking weed near their five-week old child.
On Wednesday around 3:15 p.m., the Washingtonville Police Department arrested two teenagers who were found at May’s Field smoking marijuana in the presence of their weeks old child, police say.
A 19-year-old man from Salisbury Mills and an 18-year-old woman from Walden were both charged with endangering the welfare of a child. The mother was also charged with criminal possession of marijuana.
The couple and their child were picked up by a family member and were released after each posted $250 cash bail. Both are due to reappear in Washingtonville Court on April 12.
