A Sullivan County man was arrested following a break-in at a woman’s home.

On Sunday around 7:00 a.m. the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a burglary at a residence on Airport Road in Yulan. An unnamed female told officials that she was in the bathroom, when she heard her dog barking loudly inside the residence.

She exited the bathroom and noticed a male taking undisclosed items from her dresser. The alleged burglar fled the apartment after he spotted the victim looking at him.

Deputies say they were able to identify the suspect as 30-year-old James Romaglio Jr., of Barryville. On Tuesday, he was spotted as a passenger in a car on Rowley Road. The car was stopped and Romaglio was taken into custody without incident.

Romaglio was charged with burglary and grand larceny, felonies. He was arraigned in Town of Highland court and sent to Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail. He is due back in court on April 13.
