A 23-year-old man and a teenager were arrested after the teen allegedly pointed a loaded gun at a classmate as the two rode a bus after leaving their Hudson Valley school.

On Friday afternoon, the Town of Ramapo Police received a report that a 16-year-old victim had a gun pointed at him on the bus his way home from school.

Around 2:00 p.m. Friday, the unnamed victim took a seat on a bus at Ramapo High School. A classmate, a 16-year-old male, boarded the bus and sat next to the victim. The unnamed suspect then pulled out a loaded and pointed it at the victim, police say.

The victim told his family about the incident after he returned home and authorities were called.

During the subsequent investigation, the suspect was located Friday night by Ramapo detectives in Nanuet. At the time, he was a passenger in a car driven by 23-year-old Timothy Brown of Spring Valley.

During the traffic stop, the loaded gun was allegedly found.

The 16-year-old was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment, both felonies, and menacing, a misdemeanor. Police are not releasing his name.

He was arraigned in the Town of Ramapo Justice Court and remanded to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.

This investigation is on-going and more charges may be pending, police say.
