Police: Hudson Valley Man Masturbated In Car, Asked Women If They ‘Approved’
A Hudson Valley man is accused of approaching women, masturbating and asking if they approved. Police believe more victims are likely.
On Thursday, members of the Middletown Police Department Detective Bureau arrested Mark A. Jones of the Town of Wallkill for public lewdness, a misdemeanor.
On a number of occasions, Jones is accused of approaching women in his car and exposing his genitalia while masturbating. While masturbating, Jones would ask the women if they approved, police say.
One of the alleged offenses occurred in a residential neighborhood on Maryland Avenue, another at the YMCA on Highland Avenue.
Police believe it’s likely that there are more victims. Anyone who may be a victim of a similar incident should contact Detective Fred Slanovec at 346-4026 or Detective Robert Mecocci at 346-4023.
