Teen Murdered Near Hudson Valley High School, Police Seek Help
Police are asking for help after finding a teen who was brutally murdered near a local high school.
The City of Newburgh Police Department, in conjunction with the New York State Police Major Crimes Unit, and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office are investigating an early Friday morning shooting that happened on Bush Avenue.
The victim, 19-year-old James N. Stevens, was shot multiple times, police say. He was pronounced dead at the scene. More information wasn’t released.
Bush Avenue is three-tenths of a mile from Newburgh Free Academy, according to Google Maps.
