NY College Board Halts Adversity Score on the SAT's

Should students get points on their SAT's just for living in a rougher neighborhood or going to a poor school? Do we really have an equal chance for the same opportunities?

If you're a student who is just about to finish your high school career then the SAT is a pretty important test for you. Is the standardized test that will determine your plans on attending college.

According to the New York Post, the New York based organization responsible for the SAT's has already dropped the adversity score that was put in to motion just a few years ago. The 'Adversity Score' adds points to a student's score based on things like how strong a school's education system is, crime rates and other social economic factors.

Is it a good idea for schools to drop this system? Do we really all have he same opportunities?
